UKULELEZAZA Berlin Workshop

Rare Tricks & Grooves It doesn’t always have to be the same old up and down. In this workshop Zaza teaches you a bunch of cool tricks and grooves that will wow your friends, foes and fellow ukers. The techniques include the weird but wonderful finger-flap, a nifty fingerpicking swing and Zaza’s own magical Peacock strum. They’ll work in all music styles, or maybe none but you’ll have fun doing it anyway. Guaranteed!

Ukulelezaza is a firm favorite in the European ukulele community and has been at the forefront of the ukulele revival for over ten years. His gentle touch, right hand wizardry and tasteful arrangements have inspired, and continue to inspire, ukulele players worldwide. When performing solo, Zaza mostly plays 1920s/30s music and original instrumentals using a variety of vintage ukuleles. His gentle touch and overall right hand mastery rank him amongst Europe’s finest ukulele players. He’s featured at ukulele festivals throughout the world. Zaza is also the co-founder and organizer of the Belgian Ukulele Festival, which had its first edition in 2007 and became the inspiration and blueprint for the major European ukulele festivals today. Ukulelezaza aus Belgien gilt als einer der renommierteste Solo Ukulelespieler und tourt weltweit über die angesagtesten Ukulelefestivals. Seine besondere Leidenschaft gilt der Old Time Music und dem Swing der 1920er und 1930er. Sein sanftes Spiel, seine verblüffende Technik der rechten Hand und geschmackvolle Arrangements inspirieren Ukulelespieler weltweit. Er spielt bei Solo-Auftritten meistens Musik der 1920er / 30er Jahre und selbstkomponierte Instrumentalstücke mit einer Vielzahl von Vintage-Ukulelen und ist auf Ukulelefestivals in der ganzen Welt zu sehen.
